Honda’s Combined Braking System (CBS) connects the front and rear brakes through the left-hand lever for added control and confidence. Less experienced riders will appreciate this feature since it considerably reduces the risk of sliding on wet pavement or during emergency braking maneuvers.
In terms of functionality, having a pair of big wheels obviously limits cargo capacity under the seat, something Honda Canada addressed by incorporating a standard 35-liter top case with enough room to store a full-face helmet plus additional items. Up front, the instrument panel displays all the vital data: large speedometer, coolant temperature gauge, fuel gauge as well as mileage and trip meters. There’s even a maintenance indicator to remind you when an oil change is due.
Elsewhere, the SH150i features a center stand, folding passenger footrests, a rear cargo rack, a fold-away hook mechanism for bags or purses and a flat floorboard. The only thing missing is a side stand -- always handy when making a quick stop at the convenience store.

The low, two-tier seat allows riders and passengers of all body sizes to sit comfortably and put both feet on the ground at rest. Meanwhile, the aforementioned top case doubles up as a passenger backrest, which improves comfort and safety.
The 2010 Honda SH150i will no doubt prove very popular due to its deep European roots. While it’s not the least expensive model in its class at $4,999, this scooter offers easy riding, a quiet, comfortable ride along with clean, efficient engine operation. And of course, Honda’s proven reliability is a sweet extra.
