Mecum Auctions is about to spark a war among bike collectors with a 1938 Harley-Davidson WLD that was once owned and ridden by “The King of Cool” Steve McQueen.
As you may know, McQueen was an avid motorcycle and race car enthusiast, as well as a participant in many dirt bike races. By the time of his death in 1980, he had built up a personal collection of more than 100 classic rides.
“There’s a big difference between a bike that McQueen owned and bike that McQueen rode,” commented Mecum Auctions’ Founder and President Dana Mecum.
The auction will take place on Saturday, November 23rd.
