2002 Lexus ES 300 Road Trip

7-26-2002

by Trevor Hofmann , Canadian Auto Press

After Falkland an unassuming left turn leads to Armstrong. Turning right at a dilapidated old grocery store, the best road yet awaits just ahead. We wind our way through jack pine and poplar amid rolling meadows that slowly open up to the valley below.

We soon arrive. Why did we wait so long to visit? My Dad's paradisiacal playground is nestled on 20-acres of wooded mountainside grandeur. A beautiful meadow spreads across his miniature valley, overshadowed by massive cottonwood and evergreen trees, while colorful floral gardens pop up throughout the property like oases for the eyes. It's all visible from the deck of his large and luxurious log home. There isn't a better place on earth to forget the stresses of life, letting go and becoming fully immersed in what seems like God's own private country retreat. I think I can find another excuse for a road trip in a few weeks?
