2007 Nissan Frontier Crew Cab SE 4x4 Road Test

4-29-2007

by Michel Deslauriers , Auto123.com

Conclusion
This Frontier Crew Cab SE 4x4, equipped with the automatic ($1,300) and metallic paint ($125), costs $35,073, and has many rivals. The Dodge Dakota Quad Cab ST 4x4 has a lower base price, but with a V8 and a similar level of equipment, it costs $35,840. The Honda Ridgline LX costs $35,600. The Toyota Tacoma Double Cab SR5 V6 4WD costs $35,880. The Crew Cab versions of the Chevy Colorado LT 4WD and GMC Canyon SLE 4WD are less expensive, at $33,805 and $34,000, respectively.

The Frontier has the necessary tough macho truck appearance.

Although I prefer the more docile personality of the Ridgeline, the Frontier is an interesting choice for those who like the typical pickup driving experience. If offers a sense of solidity and is perfectly at home on a construction site. But at that price, and with its fuel consumption, you can purchase a full-size pickup. If you don't care about the current 'mine is bigger' trend, you can be perfectly happy in a Frontier.
