2008 Acura TSX Navi Review

4-9-2008

by Luc Gagné , Auto123.com

Having too much controls to work with proves challenging, especially at first. But if you think that the control panel of the 2008 TSX is hard to grasp, wait 'til you sit in the 2009 model! I should also point out that the navigation screen becomes difficult to read under direct sunlight.

I liked where the air ducts are mounted. Sitting above the screen, they blow a cool or hot breeze at the driver's face level -- and not at his or her right hand's, like in the 2009 TSX.

For Canadian Acura dealers, the TSX is nothing more than sand between the bricks.

Time to choose

The totally redesigned Acura TSX will soon hit the market, sporting similar lines in a wider, longer and heavier package. Yet, the new interior does not offer more legroom in the back. The powertrain is carried over, but it lost 4 horsepower in the process.

For some buyers, though, the model year is the primary criterion for choosing a vehicle. If it's not your case and you're looking for a reasonably sized sedan offering a sporty driving experience, performance levels that suit our road network and excellent build quality, the 2008 Acura TSX might just be an ideal match, especially with the upcoming rebates to help sell the remaining stocks...
