As expected, the Veracruz is fitted with powerful antilock disc brakes at each corner. Electronic Brake Force Distribution and Brake Assist fortify the effectiveness of these binders. Emergency stops were executed quickly with no hint of vehicular hysteria or compromise of control.

Luxury and refinement most accurately summarize the spacious Veracruz. This vehicle has a lot to offer prospective buyers of mid-size SUVs, especially those desirous of a premium brand but unwilling to shell out the buckets of money they demand.

I packed my tester with three additional skiers and what mimicked a warehouse of ski equipment and headed for the snowy hills. The Veracruz quietly, comfortably and effortlessly cruised up the mountain, never losing traction on the icy road as we neared the summit; given its high-value pricing, what else could be asked for!
