Fortunately, the adjustable suspension adds some life to the party. Of course, the mere size of this wagon fails to encourage aggressive maneuvers behind the wheel.

In the end, though, Volvo won its bet: the new 2008 V70 is attractive, competent and safe. Even better, it's as sensible as any car you will find... and further proof of Volvo's world-renowned expertise in this field.
