2008 Volvo V70 3.2 Review

6-22-2008

by Rob Rothwell , Auto123.com

Volvo: Swedish for safety
Much of Volvo's admirable reputation is founded on their commitment to safety. The V70 adheres to this principle in many ways, such as the inclusion of side curtain airbags for all outboard seating positions as standard equipment. But Volvo protection goes beyond inflatable devices with technology designed to prevent a crash in the first instance.

Available on the V70 is Volvo's Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) and a collision avoidance system, which incorporates Collision Warning with Auto-Brake (CWAB), Distance Alert (DA) and Driver Alert Control (DAC). Dynamic Stability and Traction Control is supplied as standard V70 equipment.

The V70 convergence
Convergence is often used to describe the amalgamation of multiple functions in a singular device. In many ways, convergence is equally "à propos" in describing the distillation of luxury, safety and practicality in the all new Volvo V70. Who knew convergence could be so pleasing.
