Of course, there's always a "magic wand" request, and mine would be switching the TSX to rear-wheel drive. Although torque steer is negligible, keeping the front wheels from spinning and the traction control mechanism from intruding requires smooth, progressive right foot action, especially when pulling enthusiastically from a stop. Rear-wheel drive would eliminate this detraction.

Enjoyment behind the TSX wheel isn't restricted to driving dynamics alone. The front seats, in the larger for 2009 cabin, are wonderfully supportive. Plenty of head and legroom along with a tilt and telescopic steering column combine to produce the perfect office from which to discharge driving duties. An expansive front windscreen enhances forward visibility.

I think Acura has a winner on its hands with the 2009 TSX.

Rearward visibility in my tester was augmented with a backup camera that displayed on the navigation screen when 'reverse' was selected. This was simply one of a long list of safety and occupant protection installations that arrive as standard TSX equipment.

I think Acura has a winner on its hands with the 2009 TSX. This is a vehicle that was lauded by journalists when it was originally introduced in 2004. The second generation picks up where generation-one left off.

Generation-two invigorates with a bolder appearance and a multitude of operational enhancements, none of which include a turbocharger or V6 engine; for keeping it "real," I applaud Acura. I just wish they saw fit to convert the TSX to rear-wheel drive.
