2009 BMW Z4 sDrive35i Review (video)

11-10-2009

by Justin Pritchard , Auto123.com

In typical BMW fashion, the steering is heavy and direct-- making the Z4 feel clamped, glued and bolted to the road. The car makes no fuss about chewing through corners in some kind of hurry when pushed, and it typically feels balanced and un-intimidating in the process.

It does feel like the rear end could be very lively and slippery if pushed on a track, too. Drivers will also appreciate the good brake feel and abundant stopping power.

For those with the means to drop seventy-plus large on a second or third car, the new Z4 sDrive35i is easy to sum up.

$72,550 with goodies
Thankfully if this Z4 is out of your price range, a simpler one starts around $54,000—and there are numerous other roadster options for far less than that.

However, for those with the means to drop seventy-plus large on a second or third car, the new Z4 sDrive35i is easy to sum up. It puts what’s arguably the segment’s most beautiful drivetrain into one of its most striking and elegant bodies.
