2009 Ford Escape First Impressions

5-20-2008

by Kevin ''Crash'' Corrigan , Auto123.com

The interior remains almost the same for '09, but now features a passenger-side windscreen pillar grab handle, something which customers were apparently looking for, and you now sink even deeper into the seat cushions. The latter appears to me to be a good idea considering the updated Escape's more agile characteristics.

The 2009 Escape will be available in XLT and Limited versions. No pricing has been released as yet, but I would expect it to be competitive in the marketplace.

All in all, the new Ford Escape is perhaps the perfect blend of change.

Conclusion
All in all, the new Ford Escape is perhaps the perfect blend of change. It still retains its size and styling which has made it so popular, yet adds to that a little more of what customers want. I think that the new Ford Escape is going to be good news for Ford, and even better news for compact SUV buyers.

By the way, I visited Albert a while back and I was pleased to see that even today he still looks like Mr. Osmond, including showing signs of an ever-expanding waistband!

What? Did you think that it was only women had those thoughts?
