The vastly experienced Pedro de la Rosa as well as GP2 vice-champion Vitaly Petrov could be signed on. The Russian driver can attract very, very big sponsors.

Manor/Virgin
Team owner John Booth was interested in Nelson Piquet Jr. because of his experience, but Virgin made it clear in Singapore that the brand didn't wish to be associated with any driver who cheats.

Lotus
Malaysian Fairuz Fauzy, GP2 and World Series by Renault driver, has reportedly been chosen.

Lotus is also looking for a second experienced driver.

At this point in the game of musical chairs, Heikki Kovalainen, Rubens Barrichello, Jarno Trulli and Timo Glock are without a team.
