F1: Testing at Jerez, Day 1

12-9-2008

by René Fagnan , Auto123.com

Formula 1 winter testing has resumed today at Jerez de la Frontera in southern Spain. The two Ferrari-powered Toro Rossos were the quickest cars with Buemi beating Bourdais in the battle of the two 'Sebs'.

Testing essentially concerned evaluation of the new Bridgestone slick tires, and the delivery of the KERS boost systems.

Cool and overcast conditions greeted the team this morning with several light rain showers interrupting the teams' programme during the day.

Sébastien Buemi set the fastest lap of the day in the Toro Rosso, followed by his teammate Sébastien Bourdais.
