From Grand-Am Series

Defending Daytona Prototype champions Scott Pruett and Memo Rojas cruised to victory and took a share of the championship lead after Saturday's Sahlen's Six Hours of The Glen. The team dominated the event, leading 142 of the 188 laps, including the final 35 laps.

Max Angelelli and Brian Frisselle finished second, moving into a tie for the title with the Ganassi duo; all four drivers have 140 points.

Timo Bernard and Romain Dumas finished, tying Gurney and Fogarty for third in the standings - six points behind the leaders with 134.

Rounding out the top five at The Glen were the two Michael Shank Racing Ford Rileys. Ozz Negri and Mark Patterson finished fourth, followed by Michael Valiante and John Pew.

Alex Gurney and Jon Fogarty entered the event with an eight-point lead, but had a frustrating day. After numerous troubles, they had to retire with floorboard damage resulting from the car being towed from the gravel trap with two hours to go.

In the Acxiom GT class, Dirk Werner and Leh Keen led 103 of 178 laps to victory, collecting the championship lead by eight points.

Paul Edwards and Kelly Collins finished second, while Wolf Henzler and Eric Lux took third place.

Sylvain Tremblay and Nick Ham both led, but a pit road speeding penalty dropped the team out of contention. They finished fourth.

The next action for the Grand-Am Rolex Series will be the June 20 EMCO Gears Classic at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.

In KONI Challenge, Andy Lally and John Potter scored their first Grand Sport (GS) victory of the season Friday in a race held in an intermittent drizzle.

Lally held off Bill Auberlen by 1.117 seconds as the latest held off Joey Hand in a terrific battle for second, swapping the position at least five times over the closing laps.

GS point leader Ken Wilden finished sixth, extending his lead to 19 points over Bret Seafuse and James Gue (169-150).

In the Street Tuner class, Dion von Moltke held off veteran Randy Pobst throughout the final half hour to give his team its first class victory.

Pobst came up .501 seconds short at the checkered flag. Christian Miller managed to extend his ST championship lead to 16 points over Ashley McCalmont (175-159), who finished third.

The next action for the KONI Challenge will be at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course on June 20-21. The ST class will race on Saturday at 1:45 p.m., while the GS competitors race Sunday at 1:30 p.m.
