Over 50 years of building carsOperating since 1953, the Oakville assembly plant encompasses 486,000 square meters (5.4 million square feet). A host of products have been manufactured here in Oakville throughout these decades, such as the Meteor, Monarch and Frontenac (exclusively sold in Canada up until the early 1960s), not to mention more familiar cars like the Falcon and Maverick, the Tempo/Topaz duo and the Windstar minivan.
