Pricing for Hyundai's new Genesis flagship sedan was just announced. With this rear-wheel drive car, the Korean automaker promises a "premium sedan without the premium price."

In order to attract budget-minded luxury buyers, the Hyundai Genesis 3.8 will retail for $37,995. Under the hood is a 3.8L V6 engine producing 290 horsepower through a 6-speed automatic transmission with SportShift manual mode. Standard features include 4-wheel disc brakes, heated power mirrors, fog lights, side and side-curtain airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Traction Control, active front head restraints, dual-zone automatic climate control, leather upholstery, heated power-adjustable front seats with memory for the driver, 7-speaker premium audio with 6-CD changer, backup sensors, power windows and door locks as well as woodgrain appliqués.

If that amazing list isn't enough for you, or if you require more power, the Genesis 4.6 will certainly meet your needs. At $43,995, this model boasts a 378-hp 4.6L V8 mated to the aforementioned SportShift transmission while adding a power sunroof, HID headlights, 18-inch alloy wheels, 235/50R18 tires, front and rear parking sensors, chrome lower cladding, leather trim on the dashboard and steering wheel (the latter also sports woodgrain appliqués), auto-dimming outside mirrors, illuminated door sills and electro-hydraulic power steering.

The 2009 Hyundai Genesis was introduced to the general public at the 2007 New York International Auto Show. Since then, the hype around this car hasn't stopped building, which is why Hyundai will also release a Genesis Coupe at a later date.
