Kia has announced that the production version of their '
Soul' concept will bear the same name when it goes on sale. Having made appearances at
Geneva and
Detroit as a lineup of concept vehicles, the production Soul will be unveiled at the
Paris Motor Show in early October.
The Soul will be a bit of a rebellious addition to Kia's lineup, taking a place as a unique and efficient vehicle with plenty of possibilities to customize. In concept form, the
Soul was presented as a trio of cars, named 'Burner', 'Searcher', and 'Diva'- each of which was specially customized to a specific target shopper. The European designed Soul features an instantly-recognizable look and plenty of versatile interior space.
Gregory Guillaume, Chief Designer at Kia Motors Europe, comments on the Soul. "The all-new Kia production car will be a car that defies classification and encourages customers to build an emotional bond with their new purchase by providing a creative platform that they can customise to match their car to their own character. It will appeal especially to the young-at-heart - whatever their age".
Production starts later this year.
