Despite a third-place finish in New Hampshire Juan Pablo Montoya still has his eyes on a Sprint Cup Championship.

After a restart, with two laps to go in a race he dominated, the Sylvania 300 came down to him and Mark Martin, ironically Montoya’s go to man when he needed advice.

Martin one of the cleanest drivers in the Sprint Cup Series is not exactly a pushover, he’s leading the points, but when he surprised Montoya -- known for his aggression -- and raced him hard into a turn, Montoya wasn’t very happy.

“I think did he an awesome race and he did what he had to do to win the race,” the Colombian born racer said in a teleconference on Tuesday.

“I wasn't the happiest guy. I did some interviews this morning and I said that. It's fun when you do it to someone else but it's not when they do it to you but it's part of it. For the Chase, you know, we have to bring our A Game, and we did. There's no holding back, nothing, we have to go. We have to try to go every week.”

Perhaps because he and the Earnhardt Ganassi team made the Chase without a win some people don’t look at him as championship material. That’s not what Montoya is thinking.

He’s looking at where Martin is and where he is “I think the leader is the only person that really counts right now. He actually lost 15 points if you really look at it, you know what I mean.”

Still nine races to go it’s a wide open Chase.
