2003 Acura MDX Road Test

6-21-2003

by Andrew McCredie , Canadian Auto Press

Inside, the space for passengers and cargo is ample, and the third row seating is actually quite functional (something that can't be said for all purported third-row seats). Like the well-designed Nissan Murano, the MDX feels much larger inside than you expect from the outside. The aforementioned stocky, wide stance helps in this regard, as does a pretty clever structural design that has, in addition to adding space, increased the MDXs rigidity.

Larger than most expect, the MDX interior is stylish, functional and provides ample storage. (Photo: Acura)
All in all, if you're looking for a vehicle that behaves like a car, has the functionality of an SUV and isn't a magnet for commuter contempt, the 2003 Acura MDX is just the ticket. Just be prepared to pay for it at the showroom and the pump.
