2004 Acura TSX Road Test

4-14-2003

by Trevor Hofmann , Canadian Auto Press

It would be hard, however, to improve the TSX driver's seat. Its power-adjustable actuation that includes a Schukra-made lumbar support, combined with a tilt and telescoping steering wheel, makes finding a comfortable position a simple task, and easy to keep that way due to 2-way memory. Its 2-position heated seat cushions are especially appreciated on cold winter mornings, leather can sting a little. The leather wrapped 3-spoke steering wheel is pretty well perfect too. With thumb indents positioned for ideal hand placement, integrated audio and cruise control buttons and superb tactile quality mixed with an extremely attractive design, it's a wheel Momo would be proud to put a signature on.

The rest of the cabin is exquisitely detailed as well. Its instrument cluster is sensational, incorporating digital technology in an analog look, a full palette of harmonizing hues to stimulate the senses. I could find no fault with the interior's overall plastics quality either, noticeably improved over previous Acuras, while its aluminum accents and perforated leather seating surfaces complimented by matching door trim was first rate - rich wood veneer trim is available too. The sills receive an upscale polished aluminum scuff plate, decorated with an Acura appliquation.
