The XL has the hose-out floor functionality of a traditional pickup. Available in both Regular Cab and SuperCab models, it offers the choice of vinyl or cloth interior. Outside, the XL has a bold, forthright grille design; standard 17-inch steel wheels; a standard tilt steering wheel and a center display system in the instrument panel.

The STX is the sporty version of the F-150 that has the 4.6-liter Triton V-8 engine and is available in Regular Cab or SuperCab body styles. It has body-color bumpers and 17-inch cast aluminum wheels, plus offers an optional AM/FM stereo with a 6-disc CD changer and subwoofer.

The XLT comes in all cab variations, can have optional silver two-tone paint finish, a unique grille treatment, and standard 17-inch cast aluminum wheels. A split-fold bench seat or captains chairs are available in front, and the instrument panel has chrome accents. For SuperCab and SuperCrew models, XLT's standard second-row power windows are a segment first.
The new FX4 is aimed at outdoor enthusiasts who want standard four-wheel-drive capability. FX4 models come in all three cab and both the Flareside and Styleside versions. Optional 18-inch machined cast aluminum wheels, body-color bumpers, and a distinctive grille are available. Inside, the FX4 has "warm steel" accents on the instrument panel with aircraft styled gauges, center console, doors and steering wheel. Optional captain's chairs can be in cloth or leather, and it has a flow-through center console with floor shifter. Serious off-roaders will appreciate its skid plates and specifically tuned shock absorbers.
