2007 Chrysler Sebring Touring Review

12-16-2007

by Bertrand Godin , Auto123.com

The 4-speed autobox found on nearly every Sebring is efficient, precise and smooth. However, given that it puts only 4 gears at the engine's disposal, the latter sometimes feel short-handed in more demanding situations. Fortunately, the optional 6-speed automatic transmission proves smoother, better calibrated and much more enjoyable.

The Sebring's racy lines are combined with some of the brand's most familiar design cues.

The Sebring delivers a decent braking performance at best. The 4-wheel disc brakes no doubt fulfill their mission, but they're absent from base models.

Standing out from the throng of mid-size sedans in today's market is no easy task. The Chrysler Sebring has no major flaws... but no major distinctive attributes either. Likewise, while it may be a competent performer on the road, this car does not offer a great dose of adrenaline. Yet another case of sound functionality without excessive twists.
