Other luxury four-seat convertibles can't match the CLK 63 AMG's power ratings. But if you're looking for a more athletic ride, a ragtop $111,500 BMW 650i Cabriolet, or $114,800 Porsche 911 Carrera will deliver the goods | Top down or top up, the CLK looks purposeful and muscular. |
One-time Palm Springs resident Frank Sinatra regaled that L.A. was his "lady." But, after a virtual visit back to Ol' Blue Eyes' heyday, the term "mistress" seems more appropriate for this time capsule in the desert. And although the 2007 Mercedes-Benz CLK 63 AMG is every bit a modern car, its AMG hot-rod motor will take you back to the '60's muscle car era faster than it's quarter-mile time. Who could complain about 475 hp and 465 lb-ft of torque? Telepathic 7-speed transmissions. Rock-solid build. Steering can't match the heroic engine and suspension. Nothing.
