2008 Mini Cooper S Clubman Review (video)

6-14-2008

by Justin Pritchard , Auto123.com

It can feel a bit backwards and lacks the typical sports-car cockpit atmosphere that some will prefer in such a well set-up car. Much of the Mini's interior is a landslide victory for cuteness over logic- but it's undeniably charming in its own British sort of way.

There's a plethora of customization options and packages available.

A customizable contender
The tested Mini Cooper S Clubman combines said charm with premium features like xenon lights, tilt and telescopic steering, dual sunroofs and interior mood lighting.

There's a plethora of customization options and packages too, so you can have your model painted and equipped exactly how you like. The price-tag can head high into the thirties in the process.

Pricing for a Cooper S Clubman starts at $31,500, though our tester's options left it just over the $36,000 mark. That pricetag opens the door to a hefty selection of worthy machinery, though none better fulfill that childhood dream of driving your very own Go-Kart.
