It’s also a friendlier and more accessible trike. Said cockpit is completely devoid of upper tubing, except for the two roll bars, and entering is as simple as striding over the body sides.
The V13R features a glove box (something that’s missing on the T-Rex) and even a small trunk up front. André Morissette jokingly refers to this compartment as a "wine and cheese box" due to its limited capacity, but at least it can hold more than your swimsuit and toothbrush!
Killer sound!
As soon as you start the engine, you’ll recognize the V13R’s distinct character. It’s a far cry from the machine concocted by Daniel Campagna in the 1990s. While the engine of the T-Rex growls like a superbike, the Revolution powerplant from the Harley V-Rod produces a "killer sound and typical Harley vibrations", claims Mr. Morissette, who really knows a thing or two about two-wheelers.

Mated to a 5-speed sequential gearbox, just like the T-Rex, the V13R also benefits from a mechanical reverse.
This roadster or cruiser -- again, you name it -- is currently entering its final stage of development. The production V13R will boast a slightly shorter wheelbase than the prototypes we’ve seen in Boucherville. Moreover, the fiberglass body sides will be narrower so as to improve the turning radius. Finally, the parking brake lever will likely be moved closer to the middle of the cockpit to make access easier for occupants.
The little hot rod will also be cheaper than the T-Rex. Campagna Motors is announcing a base price of $39,995, which represents a $10,000 gap. Incidentally, you’ll find about the same pricing variation between a cruiser and a superbike.
