Yamaha recently announced two new models for 2014 including the
FZ-09, which will go on sale this October, and the Zuma X, set to arrive at dealerships two months later.
The 2014 Yamaha FZ-09 is a naked sports roadster powered by an all-new, liquid-cooled, 850cc inline 3-cylinder engine with fuel injection. This bike has been developed around the concept of a “Synchronized Performance” motorcycle, which allows the rider to enjoy the feeling of complete control in typical everyday riding situations. The FZ-09 will be offered in Vivid Red and Dark Metallic Grey starting at $8,999.
“With all day riding comfort, powerful low and mid-range torque, excellent agility and weight, and performance similar to an R6, the FZ-09 truly is the full package,” said John Bayliss, Motorcycle Product Manager at Yamaha Motor Canada Ltd.
Meanwhile, the Zuma X scooter is based on the proven BW’s50F platform and includes all of its benefits, most notably outstanding fuel economy. Highlighted by its eye-catching supersport styling and single headlight, the Zuma X is available in Metallic Black & Yellow or Deep Purplish Metallic Blue & White. It will retail for $2,899.
