Mazda also introduces an all-new feature for 2003, an optional DVD based entertainment system that also plays MP3 encoded audio discs. The system features a seven-inch screen, playback unit and two wireless, infrared, headsets. While a DVD system is indeed a great way to keep the kids entertained on a long trip, my experience has found that once they know they can watch a movie in the comfort of their car seat, they want to view one every time they're in the vehicle, even if its a trip to the neighborhood rec centre a block away.

Mazda is definitely keeping up to the Joneses with the 2003 MPV. Only problem is the stiff competition isn't sitting still either.
