2004 Ford Freestar Quick Drive

I won't go into too much detail about features and options in this review, as I covered them for the most part in a previously written preview (see the archives). Instead I'll end my thoughts by saying; the Freestar is a monumental step forward for Ford and a serious development to the minivan segment in general. Rather than to merely take its place as an also ran, another purveyor of justifiably adequate people movers, Ford has risen to the upper echelons of the brat pack.

The Freestar can now be respected for performance, top-tier features and what appears to be very good overall quality. It's a winner that has come along at a time when Ford truly needs one, and if it's any indication of things to come, they're a brand to watch carefully. Specifications:
