Everyone who stepped in the MDX during its stay with me frowned when I told them how much it cost. However, their reaction was unanimous: "I could very well see this truck parked in my driveway."
In short, the MDX excels in everything you ask it to do, and you quickly get attached to it. But if you don't need the costly gadgets like the navigation system, the rear-seat DVD as well as the power tailgate, the $52,300 base MDX will make you perfectly happy for less money.
