2007 Acura TSX NAVI Road Test

The Acura TSX NAVI with a manual transmission costs $38,900, and breaks the $40,000 barrier with an automatic. A similarly-equipped BMW 323i costs $39,695, an Audi A4 2.0T FrontTrak with as much amenities costs $40,460 and a Subaru Legacy 2.5GT retails for $40,295; none of these three offer navigation for the price, but compared to the two Germans, the Acura lacks a little prestige.

The TSX is not a bad car, but the price to pay is much too high.

However, it's when you compare the TSX to members of its own family that the price starts to induce pain. An Accord EX-L NAVI (automatic only) lists for $36,700, is more spacious and more powerful, and costs less to operate and maintain. In addition, we're only a few thousand dollars' reach from a TL, which is a magnificent road rocket.

Conclusion
In general, I really like driving the TSX, as long as it's devoid of its navigation system. In Europe, Accord models are available with less equipment and more accessible prices. Diesel-powerful versions and even wagons are also offered.

The fact that the TSX is sold here at home is an excellent accommodation, and it deserves its place in the Acura lineup. But I think it should cost $3,000 less.
