2007 BMW 335i Cabriolet Road Test

22 décembre 2007

par Alain Raymond , Auto123.com

Active and passive safety
All things that accelerate need to stop sometime, which is why this phenomenal German athlete is equipped with four gigantic disc brakes that will slow you down from 100 to 0 kph over 35 meters. Even a comparable Porsche cannot brake this quickly. This important active safety device is expertly backed by a host of electronic nannies -- too many in fact to list them here. As for passive safety, BMW incorporated six airbags and two pop-up roll bars behind the rear seats, among other features.

The retractable hard top offers the best of both worlds.

Finally, let's talk about prices: the 2008 335i Cabriolet starts at $66,600, while the base 200-hp 328i model retails for $56,600.

Personally, I'd pick the latter, which is more reasonable, more affordable and almost as fun to drive. However, if autobahns were to become a reality in Canada, I might just change my decision...
