The 2008 Malibu delivers tremendous value, and pleasing economy when equipped with the 2.4-liter powerplant. Federal ratings peg it at 9.6 and 6.5 liters of fuel per 100K of city and highway driving respectively. Yes, it can be safely said that today's Malibu rekindles much the long lost "Malibu" spirit.
