Granted, the 5-speed automatic transmission operates with amazing seamlessness and responsiveness, even during spirited driving. But the power delivery is so linear and progressive that, as a driver, you're far from feeling as involved as you would normally expect.
Fortunately, the lack of communication between you and the road takes nothing away from the superb handling offered by the RX 350. Stability is never in jeopardy, so feel free to zip through the green alleys of your kingdom.

Aging designDespite technical upgrades and improvements to details, the Lexus RX has kept pretty much the same look since the introduction of the current generation. The pioneer of roundly-shaped SUVs has often been imitated and never matched, yet it could use a more modern design that would make it friendlier-looking. The RX, after all, is undoubtedly the most popular of all Lexus models, to the extent that it has become quite familiar in the streets. A fresh makeover wouldn't hurt, if you ask me.
I'm not shy to admit that the RX 350 is one of my favorite crossovers in the premium segment. It has plenty of attractive qualities: great road manners, exceptional features and build quality, etc. Of course, I could talk about the price but, seriously, what did you expect?
