The B200 rides on a Selective Damping system that adapts to current conditions. When firmer damping is needed to handle a high-speed curve, the system reacts. When simply cruising with little need for athletic prowess, the system ensures a comfortable, compliant ride. I found the selective damping technology to be reliable and effective. In fact, I was quite taken aback by the B200's appetite for aggressive cornering. Despite its height, the vehicle felt secure and predictable when such demands were dispatched. Braking was also a B200 highlight. Emergency stops were easily controlled and pedal feel was exceptional. | With an entry price of $29,900, the B200 holds tremendous value for those seeking economy, versatility and a touch of Tri-Star cachet. |
Much of the driving pleasure imparted by the B200 was derived from its high seating position, which places the seats approximately 20 cm higher than expected. This arrangement combined with a huge windscreen and large side glass provide the driver with excellent forward and side visibility. In the event of a crash, occupants will undoubtedly appreciate the full suite of airbags included as standard B200 equipment.
