2008 Suzuki SX4 Sedan First Impressions

26 septembre 2007

par Marc Bouchard , Auto123.com

Interestingly, the chassis of the Suzuki SX4 uses an effective suspension system to deliver a surprisingly stable and smooth ride for such a small vehicle.

The SX4 Sedan is only available with FWD.

A big disappointment, though (especially in colder regions like Quebec), is the fact that the SX4 sedan does not offer an optional all-wheel drive system like its hatchback sibling. Even worse, according to the president of Suzuki Canada, Seiichi Maruyama, the company does not even plan on making it available in the future.

An affordable sedan
Fairly inexpensive at $17,195 ($20,095 for the Sport model with automatic transmission and 17-inch wheels), the 2008 SX4 Sedan will most certainly appeal to legions of buyers in Canada. This is a small, unpretentious city car with interesting handling capacities. The initial goal was to sell 6,500 SX4s across the country, but we've learned that only 4,000 units will hit the market after all. Suzuki should have no problems finding takers for all of them.
