Comfort on the roadIn terms of handling, there were no surprises, good or bad: the Corolla CE handles well, but when pushed, the car understeers. It tends to roll on turns, which isn't so unusual, considering that the Corolla's primary goal is comfort. The steering system is somewhat unresponsive, but does the job nevertheless. A test drive of the XRS would be in order to check out the sportiness that Toyota has in mind for the Corolla. Thumbs up for the shock absorbers: on a worn down road, the car kept its course without tossing its occupants about too much, an uncommon feat in this class, even among mid-size vehicles. | The CE, with the Convenience package, is a very attractive version. | Improved and comfortableThis new generation of the Corolla is solid, and the CE, with the Convenience package, is a very attractive version.
