NASCAR: Tagliani the fastest in practice at Trois-Rivières

Alex Tagliani (Ford No 7) turned the fastest lap (69.454 seconds on the 1.530-mile road course at 78.268 mph) in practice for the NASCAR Canadian Tire race to be run Sunday afternoon at the Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières in Québec. Following him were J.R. Fitzpatrick (Chevy No 84) and road racing specialist Robin Buck (Ford No 88). Some 28 cars were on the track at one point or the other on Friday afternoon. By the way, D.J. Kennington (Dodge No 17) was replaced by Doug Brown for practice and qualifying while he is running the Nationwide event at the Michigan International Speedway. D.J. will be back in time for Sunday's race.
