Porsche's highly-anticipated museum will open to car enthusiasts and Porsche fanatics alike this coming Saturday. The cars, building and staff are all ready for action-- and the entire Porsche team is excitedly anticipating the Museum's first guests.

Located in Zuffenhausen, the museum will feature a selection of famous Porsche models and attract visitors of all ages and motivations. Dozens of exhibits will be housed in the Museum, including a 356 Cabriolet, an original '11' and the first Porsche 924 prototype. According to Porsche, the exhibits feature fully restored vehicles with as many as 80 machines in a continuous rotation.

The rotating approach ensures that visitors are able to see something new every time they visit, and the cars are stored in a warehouse off-site until called upon.

Porsche officials expect to show their Museum to some 200,000 visitors per year, and say that 'theme islands' and small exhibits will keep things interesting. Those who take in the Museum will experience Porsche characteristic features like 'light', 'clever', 'intense' and 'powerful' on their visit.

In addition to an array of history-rich models, the 5,600 square-metre facility boasts a distinctive architecture and also houses a separate restaurant, coffee-bar, shop and conference facilities.
