The rear passenger benefits from a good seating position and great support, courtesy of the fold-away footpegs and cargo rack.
In terms of storage, the People S 125 is at a disadvantage compared to classic scooters. True, it offers a small, lockable "glove box" up front that can accommodate your gloves, maps or water bottle, not to mention a convenient center hook for your backpack or grocery bag. However, the limited underseat storage compartment doesn't even hold a helmet -- only a purse. My advice to you is to install a cargo box on top of the rear rack.

Considering the limited underseat storage compartment, the front "glove box" is more than welcomed. |
Stable and nimbleThe People S 125 easily zips through city traffic. The light handlebar makes steering almost effortless. While vibrations are felt at idle, they fade away as soon as you take off. The available torque makes accelerating a breeze. Braking maneuvers, handled by a disc-drum combination, prove to be safe and steady. Meanwhile, the adjustable rear suspension and 16-inch alloys provide added comfort.
Flexible and rider-friendlyPersonally, I wouldn't venture out on the highway with the People S 125. (Rather, I would opt for the S 200 model, scheduled to arrive this spring.) However, I will not hesitate to recommend it for riding in the city and on service lanes. This Kymco is fun to ride and easy to park, which can't be said of many small scooters. Its size allows the rider to be seen on the road -- an instrumental part of safety on two wheels.
